Ushers

welcome ministryThe usher team at Southwood fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, handing out bulletins and visitor bags, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life. If you would like to serve on our usher team, please contact Jim or Connie Ramer.

Media & Technology

soundboardUsing media to spread the gospel is a privilege. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are recorded and uploaded to our website in audio formats. We have a sound and projector team manage the sermon powerpoint and sound quality during the service. We also maintain an active Facebook page for additional church communication. If you would like to volunteer on our media and technology team, contact the Church Office.

Children’s Ministry

Children's ministry daisyIn order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Southwood holds a junior church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner suited to their age and learning styles. We ask our junior church volunteers to teach for one month per year. Materials are fun and user-friendly! If you are interested in joining the children’s ministry, please contact Steve Houts, our Children’s Ministry Director.
